Retreat Reminiscing-Part 1

For 6 days we were laughing, sewing, meet new friends, saw old friends, shopping, camping and eating/drinking. And I am smiling with a big grin, thinking back on all that great memories that were created along with some great quilts.

Last Tuesday, Denise & I took off to Spring Gulch campground
 near Lancaster Pa. to camp.
OK I will admit it.
We were glamping verses real camping as you can see!

We were minutes from Intercourse, Bird In Hand, Ephrata,
 Denver and Lancaster Pa.
So need I say more----there are fabric stores everywhere!

On the second day Diane from the
joined us while we meet up with Renee
(a high school friend of Denise's that lives in Lancaster).

The best way to tour Lancaster Pa. is with someone who lives there! Renee took us to Rachel's Cafe & Creperie. Words can not describe how incredible the crepes were! Click HERE to see what was on the menu! We also went rummaging through some of the neatest historically buildings that have been preserved with artsy and vintage items called Building Character.

So after some incredible lunch crepes we had a
warm chocolate, caramel & banana crepe!

After being downtown Lancaster we of course went to a fabric store--again! But later returned to the campground for a cocktail, campfire ,smorses and chatted to the wee hours!

Next day we packed up and headed over to the retreat!
We were to bring blocks from our challenge fabric
(the rust with dots).

As fate would have it I only took a
picture of half of the block!

But here is a picture of the blocks that were made.
Can you find mine knowing what 1/2 looks like?

I  will continue to reminisce tomorrow.
I need to unpack!

  1. What a fun time, it's so nice to get away with friends, throw in fabric shopping and sewing and it's perfect!! So glad we could spend time together and top it off with 40 or so friends!!

Thank You for stopping by and leaving a few words. I will answer questions for all to read or you can email me privately for a private response. Either way I will answer you soon. Till We Quilt Again, Helen
