I most likely will not get the
"Mother Of The Year Award".

And I am so OK with that.
I have been on a slight detour from
quilting and blogging.

Note to Self:
Do not bring cotton yarn and use metal
needles in tropical climates.
This plate I painted as a souvenir
(shine is from sky light windows)
It looks like a quilt to me!

ReplyDeleteWelcome to the link-up, looking forward to following your blog.
ReplyDeleteI sooooooo love Mexico. But for us it's camping on the beach and four wheeling in Baja. haven't done that in a while because of all the crazy stuff going on down there. The plate you painted is really nice and does look like an applique pattern, now how to fit that in...
ReplyDeleteWelcome back and thanks for the music! Kind of fun to listen to! Your plate is gorgeous! Looking forward to keeping up with you!!
ReplyDeleteI'm always excited to see another quilter who knits too!.
ReplyDeleteI'm curious about your "note to self"...and not using cotton with metal in that climate. Did the cotton stretch? were the needles noisy?
Thanks for the fun music!

Several have asked about "Note To Self" about the knitting so here is what I logged mentally:
ReplyDeleteI had taken 2 knitting projects (small so it would not be all over my lap or in lotion). One was cotton and one was not and they both required 2 different size needles (I had bamboo circulars with me). The cotton project on the plane and all was good. But when outside in Mexico the cotton got damp so it was very hard to pick up—it swelled. And the bamboo needles worked but would have slide much better if on metal.
