Here is a Court House Step design, made with fabric made by Thimble Berry.
I liked how you had to keep your thoughts in order while constructing this piece.
Each block, created the next color way for the ajoining, top and bottom blocks.
This piece was machine pieced and hand quilted.
The hand quilting added to the antique look of the quilt.
This is not my normal colors nor pattern, so it was a fun to try something new.
Till we quilt Again,
Helen
It does look antique! Love it!
ReplyDeleteA lovely quilt...I like the old dark colors...it looks classic...and the pattern is really pretty, I like it.
ReplyDeleteLovely quilt - handquilting is great :)
ReplyDeleteI haven't heard of that pattern. I think you did a beautiful job and I like the deep colors!
ReplyDeleteGreat Quilt! I have always wanted to make one but it always make my brain work so hard just to think about it that I haven't gone there yet.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful quilt. I'm impressed that you had quilted it, that is awesome. I've always wondered why they called them court house steps since to me it looks like Japanese lanterns.
