Here is the quilt that just hits me the right way.
I love everything about it.
I took a class by Natalie Sewell with some friends in beautiful
Hudson Valley, New York.
This is the class that set me free from rules and restrictions.
When we used sharpie markers, white out inks and did not follow a pattern. I
knew I stumbled onto a process that I would love to do.
I still smile when I think back to the little carry on suit cases that
most of us came with while we all seemed to show up with a
over sized suitcases filled with fabrics.
One of my favorite things is meeting the women.
They came from California, Texas, New York, Washington D.C., New Jersey, Rhode Island and Canada. There was a art gallery curator, nurse, domestics goddess, office workers and retired professionals.
But we left feeling like
Till We Quit Again,
That is a beautiful quilt! I'd love to hear more about sharpies and white out?!?!? That is my kinda quilting!!! I always pack way too much for any class and ALWAYS pledge, next time I won't get so carried away...but always do!!!ReplyDelete
