The Quilting Outcome!

Last week I asked for your suggestions on quilting this gift.
Your input-really helped. Thank You!

I did swap out the two blocks that had bad contrast!
It just made me feel better.

Added Justin & Ashley's names.

Played around with swirls and pebbles.

This is a gift for Ashley & Justin for their wedding shower next month.
Justin has been one of my sons closest friends since grade school.

I find it a bit of a challenge to not make a wedding gift too feminine or too masculine.
That is with the pattern, the fabrics and the quilting.

This is also my March-ALYOF.
So I am a bit early--which is rare!

  1. Turned out beautifully. Love your quilting. I really like to quilt the names on a quilt, makes it so personal. Actually I need to make a wedding quilt and you have given me an idea. Thank for the inspiration. Okay to pin?

  8. The quilt and quilting are wonderful. I don't think I voted on whether to change out the dark blocks...as Iremember, I couldn't decide. My first instinct is not to change, but it does look better changed.

  14. I really love this quilt! I've been considering an unplanned fmq free-for-all on my next quilt, and you've given me the confidence to do it! I also like how you've used natural colours that would be at home in any couple's house.
