The Quilting Outcome!

Last week I asked for your suggestions on quilting this gift.

Your input-really helped. Thank You!

 I did swap out the two blocks that had bad contrast!
It just made me feel better.

Added Justin & Ashley's names.

Played around with swirls and pebbles.

 This is a gift for Ashley & Justin for their wedding shower next month. 

Justin has been one of my sons closest friends since grade school.

I find it a bit of a challenge to not make a wedding gift too feminine or too masculine.

That is with the pattern, the fabrics and the quilting.

This is also my March-ALYOF. 

So I am a bit early--which is rare!

Globe Trotting!

While globe trotting, I discovered this globe at a second hand store.

It needed to come home with me.

Since we were flying, I shipped it along with other found treasurers

 which included some silk. 

I covered it with chalk paint and added a combo of quilting and zen-doodles.

Kinda fun to have around!
