Fallen Hard........

for this quilt!

One of my favorite things is when
 old and new collide.

I just think this is the most adorable baby quilt.
I need to save this for
future grand-baby!

I loved every step of making this quilt!

 Sorry for the photo overload!

Coming Along-I Think!

Here is what I am working on.
I am now hanging the pieces to keep some sort of organization to this pile!

These are the remainder of what needs to be basted and connected.
Then onto the row connection!

Also this is Eileen's Queen Bee block.

Eileen gave us the center square and the light fabric to use.

We were to make the Churn Dash Block and add a solid.
I adore the Oakshoot fabric.
Love how it changes color depending on the angle you hold it.

Seem to have a common hue going on here!

Hung-Over & A Car Ride!

And this is why!

Recently returning from 6 days of glamping, quilt retreating, learning, laughing and eating. And with my mom recovering very well from a surgery, has needed assistance in driving. This has   not been any problem but it does brings back memories of pre-license days with my boys. I actually love that there something I can do for her!

Also two days ago I was lucky to Guest Host  Any Thing Goes Monday Link Up Party for Marelize from Stitch By StitchWell, what a ride that was. This was my first experience and can I say-- I Loved it. I have meet so many fantastic bloggers and look forward to exploring more about them. And if you have not linked up there is still time-- go here and join the fun.

Then as if that was not enough, as you read this I am heading up to Vermont to do some winter cleaning, at our ski house for the upcoming season!

So.... since it is WIP-Wednesday this is what I am working on while passing the time heading north!

I know this is Lacking a bit of luster but hopefully by the time I have added 135 hexagons it will sing a different tune!

And if I get tired of hexi's I can go onto fingerless mittens! I would not label myself a skilled knitter. But I am loving these! And may have them done by the time I get back!

I am terminated to knit something more than a scarf. My talented knitting friend asked if I was adding gussets for thumbs. WHAT IS THAT? was my reaction. So maybe that will be my next knitting adventure! :-)

WIP Was A Guild Challenge !

Our guild challenged us to come to September's meeting with
a completed UFO!

3 years ago I joined the "Sisterhood Of The Traveling Triangles" swap on The Quilt Show. Edyta Sitar from Laundry Basket Quilts was the guest, you can watch that show here.  It has taken me this long to complete this collection of 1/2 square triangles.

                             Now This WIP Is COMPLETED!

There were over 230,000 hst's made, 600 quilters, 43 states and
4 continents that participated in this swap.
We could make whatever we wanted with the HST's.

Here is today's list of bloggers that are participating in the
"See You In September" blog hop.

Will We Or Won't We?

Go Out On The Boat!
Awoke to heat and overcast skies. Our plan is to head out on the boat since time is ticking away since our youngest soon heads back to Florida. So while the clouds linger, I have been working on our guild UFO Challenge piece. I know all of your quilts are perfectly square! But some of mine either have to be blocked or they just look nicer when blocked. There are several ways of blocking but I did take photos on how I do mine however I will post that after our meeting.

Here are a few pics blocking earlier today.

I was contemplating making jam but remembered the other day Kelly from Pink A Dot Quilts made a yummy pie. Being on the fence my son asked if I would make some Peach Soup. My mother always made us strawberry, blueberry or mixed fruit soup. It is a bowl of comfort!

Today also starts the:

Thanks For The Reminder!

I am wondering.......
how many times I can rip a project apart before it falls apart?

Our quilt guild recently sent us a reminder that I am to have a UFO completed for our September meeting.

Above is the pile of hst's that I committed to finish!

What is wrong with me?
By the time I am done ripping and re-ripping, there will be nothing left!!

Friend's On Friday-Sonja

Sonja made this batik beauty for her son & future daughter in-law.

Sonja choose a King Tut variegated thread.

And a modern pantograph for the quilting.

This is one of those quilts that photos don't show well.
Great job Sonja!

Save The Gingham!

In September I am participating in a blog hop. A portion of that post is for us to use gingham fabric from Riley Blake in some way.
Get this--they were considering discontinuing gingham fabric!

 REALLY!

I will admit that the last time I used gingham was in a apron,
in 7th grade in Home-Eco class.
But you can't take it away!

So I am supporting the cause, here is what I am working on.

There will be over 50 blogs posting to show what they have created in September.

And not to bore you with details, I needed to added this little
contraption fashion statement to my leg for the next two weeks. If I told you that I was laying around and getting allot of hand work done, that would be a lie!
But what I will say-- is exercising can be dangerous to your health!
