Moving On!

Anyone that knows me has seen this bag.
I take it everywhere from guild meeting, doctors, traveling, the beach
and anywhere I take a bottle or 2  of wine.

This is the lining of the bag. I loved both fabrics.

But this bag has lived a good life and it is time for me to say good bye.
The bottom corners are worn away.

The bag is a Amy Butler pattern called Chelsea.
I made this about 3 or 4 years ago.

So I am hoping this is my new favorite bag.

Both of these fabrics is pleather!

I am hoping the bottom will be more durable and can be wiped.

This is the inside lining I choose.
Thought it had a western feel like the outside.

This time around I didn't follow the directions since it was easy enough .
But I did alter the top and added the lining as a binding.

So this bag is heading to Austin's QuiltCon on Wednesday!

Friend's On Friday-Margery

This was such a fun cheery quilt.

Margery wanted a modern panto design.

Febuary ALYOF Goal

Well I am coming late to the Febuary goal table !
Being away has set me back posting the ALYOF for this month--but here it is!

Starts with left over scrap strips all differant widths.

They are then cut to 1 inch strips.

Then twisted to make a twine.

There is many uses for this but I have sewn mine circular with a zig zag stitch.
Just like the cloths line bowls are.

I choose this for my project this month because it is great to travel with .
However a bit messy!

I will post the completed project the begining of March with ALYOF.

Heart Breaker!

Needing a division........

and having this pastel batik to contrast
 the pink hearts.

I made a Valentine wall hanging.

Since recently discovering the making of
fabric twine I added twine and some buttons.

It was fun to have negative space for quilting.

Friend's On Friday-Vicki

Here is a gorgeous batik Vicki made.

I hope she doesn't mind but I may need to borrow this color combination in the future.

I am not sure what happened but I do not have a full photo.

De-Scraping While On Vacation!

So here was my plan,
I am away this month more than I am home.
Funny thing--I am not home as this is being posted!
I took most (notice I didn't say all) my scrap strips of fabric
that are left over from projects.

Cut them into 1 inch'ish strips--doesn't have to be perfect!

While I am in a airport, on a plane or in a car
I will repurpose fabric.

When I return I will show what happened to these strips.
