Queen Bee-Carolyn

I have been lucky to discover and become a member of the
Jersey Shore Modern Quilt Guild in
Ocean Grove, NJ.

This months Queen Bee was Carolyn.
Sadly Carolyn a rare and  hard to detect disease call RSD which stands for
Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy Syndrome.

She asked for her block to be the ribbon color of RSD.  Carolyn's intention is to either put the block into a quilt or individually auction off each block to raise money for awareness and research for this disease that has only begun its research stages.

The block is quit large however I did not measure before giving it to her.

  1. Helen,
I hope that the RSD foundation doesn't allow their ribbon to be overused like our "pink ribbon" has.

  4. I've just been enjoying a cup of tea while browsing your blog and loved seeing your orange ribbon block! I live around the corner from Carolyn and I too made her a block that was huge :) Yours is awesome!
Sadly, with so much going on in both of our lives, I've never met her face to face but in her emails and such I think she's a lovely person!!!

I've enjoyed your blog and all your projects....especially that BELIEVE panel....I LOVE it!!!
