A Lovely Year of Finishers-January 2014

Well Almost Finished!
In upstate New York while on a retreat,
I started this quilt.

It then moved to my design wall
for several months.

It is such a simple quilt--
so why is it taking forever to finish?

As of today, this is the quilt top.
It is not quilted, and that is fine.
The plan is to piece the bits of fabric
that are left for the backing.
I want to quilt this when I am not on
 a deadline.

Ironically isn't this what the assignment
 is
 A Deadline!

    1. Thanks Sandy! I liked the unusual neon, mustardy yellow so much that I bought the remainder of the bolt. I never made a summer lap quilt for me-so it is hard to believe it will be used when it is hot outside and the air is pumping while we are in a deep freeze now!

  3. Thanks Lesley! I loved the colors together (I am a not usually a pale color fan) I am normally like dark dramatic colors. But with the yellow it was something that I converted me.

  5. I love these fabrics Helen. I can't wait to see how you quilt it, you are always so creative with your quilting. I have no idea what to do for my February goal yet, something easy I think. See you in a few weeks!

    1. I really must have this quilted by the time I see you. This month I will not set the bar so... high. I need to count on LIFE getting in the way of progress!!
