Modern Guild Name Tag

The  Jersey Shore Modern Quilt Guild
drew names have a Name Tag exchange.
And I was so elated to receive Eileen as my recipient.

Chesley from Nini & The Sea belongs to the
New York Modern Quilt Guild
and she received her tag though a exchange with another guild.
I thought the raffle ticket pocket on the back was such a great idea.
I included that on the back of Eileen's.

It was amazing how you start to know someone by stalking
them on Instagram.
Eileen has some great posts at
"sew_ eyeball" on IG.

The name tag was made by doing English Paper Piecing (EPP).

Here are a few links on how to do epp at
Bee In My Bonnet and The Scrappy Apple Yard.

I also made one for my mom.

Love'n The Journey!

Quilting has a way of exposing, creating and changing our paths.
From places we go, people we meet and friends
 we meet along the way.

Several months ago our local guild needed to temporarily reschedule our meeting nights, which opened the opportunity to attend a Modern guild meeting.
Stumbling into a neat historical building in Ocean Grove, NJ
my circle of quilting friendship & inspiration grew larger!

Here is a few snip-its of several inspirational gatherings over the past few months.
The historical lighting is not the best in the photos.

Tulip In My Garden!

Love nature.
I find it overwhelming to absorb the
beauty, simplicity and complexity of it all!

I seem to be drawn to quilt pieces
with the same description.

This was a workshop given by Terri Kramzer.
You can read a previous post and link over to her web page.

Almost all of Terri's quilts were faced (not bound).
I really wanted to learn this technique so a talented
sent a link to me for

I added corner mounts to slide a paint stick.

Also wanted to mention that Secretly Stitching is having a great giveaway you may want to check out.
