To wet your Fibery Fantastic whistle the photo below is of Brooke's Eyes.

So this is the reason I am asking for your vote.
This is the email that my sister in-law sent to me:

Hello Family and Friends,
I am forwarding an attachment to those of you that may be interested in helping out a great cause. Brooke has been given the opportunity to participate in a photo contest that could win money for her school’s after prom party. You must have a face book page to vote and the attachment explains how to go about voting. Time is of the essence because the contest only lasts for about a week.
Thanks so much!
Nancy & Brooke

Here is the Attachment For Face Book:

Eleanor's Gift!

I would like to introduce you to,
Eleanor!

This is a quilt that she made for her
mother's Birthday!
The color selection was Perfect,
as is all of her quilts.
She has a gift of color selection.

She choose to have the quilting in a
Vine/Heart swirl.

Which went so... well with the
 beautiful flower material.

Eleanor lights up a room with her
Warm & Loving Personality!

And that is exactly how I would describe
this piece she made for her mother!
"Warm & Loving"

A Bit Twisted!

At our guilds Christmas meeting we brought
1 yard of our ugliest fabric.
Later we stood in a circle with a scissor
and a random yard of fabric.
When the music began, we passed the
fabric till the music stopped.
Then snipped and tore the fabric in half.
Keeping one half and passed the other half on,
 when the music began again.
Every time we kept half and the
other half was passed on.
Till we were down to a small piece.
We all ended up with 7 pieces.

Here is mine.

This became our Guild's Challenge Project.
The requirement was that it could not be any
 larger than a 8 1/2 x 11 inch piece of paper.
And three of the fabrics were to be used.
Plus you could add fabric as well.
We were to bring it completed to the May's
 meeting and a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place
 was to be awarded.
Then all the pieces would be displayed at a local
Historical Society event dedicated to quilting
 in June.

So here is my Twisted Piece.
Photo not so clear!
The rust color is on the back and I used only the challenge fabric.

I did not place in any of the Top 3 Picks.
But I always Love a Challenge!
The theme was
"What Makes You Happy"
For me that is trying something new.
I have seen this technique and
it can be stunning.
However, I will need to practice this
more before I can use
 the word Stunning on mine!

If you want a great tutorial on a
 Twisted Piece visit
also known as Fabric Tucks.

How Do You Eat Your Frogs?

Quilting is not on of my daily frog list.
Actually it is the opposite!
However trying to get everything else done
to be able to quilt can be a challange.

So after showing you more of Martha's beautiful
quilts that I got to quilt for her.
You will find the book that has helps me
Eat My Frogs.

When I have it all together, it is like the planets are all aligned,  my head is clear, and
there is Harmony in the house.
Life is Good!

And it can be a real struggle to keep it that way!
I blink and I find myself slipping backwards.
I make premade meals, orangize lists and lay out my plan of attack.
I feel that a good portion of time I am on track.
But I am always looking for some ideas.
So that leads to the question.

Do you have any tips for eating your daily
recommended amount Frogs?

If you are haven't a Froggest idea as to what I am talking about.
You can see a snippet of the book at
Movie on Eating That Frog!
You will need to click off the music
at bottom of page to hear the snippet!
OR you could read the book.

If you have any tricks up your sleeve, leave a
comment. We quilters need to stick together
so we have more  time to quilt.

Bet you thought I was going to talk about
Rippits!

Feeling All Warm Inside!

 Martha's Original Design!
It is Beautiful!

 I understand this quilt
became a "Creative Planning" piece.
(We all have been there-we are forced to figure out a construction detour).

Can you see the sparkly frosted blue?
It was made for this quilt.
Hard to see in these photos.

I must find out where she got this backing.
I LOVE IT!

Many friends near and far read this page and I just want to say that this has started a
amazing journey for me, more than I can say.
My mom asked me what is a blog?
And the best way I can describe it is-
Having many Wonderful Pen Pals from all over the World!
It has become "The Gift"

This song "The Gift" by David Nevue is one my favorite songs.

Next time we meet,
I will be chatting about the frogs I ate!
Yum!
